Role Overview

This leadership role is focused on driving delivery across a portfolio of digital engagements rather than managing a single project. The position calls for someone who can own business outcomes, financial performance, client relationships, and team performance at scale.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of experience in software or digital delivery, including 8 or more years in delivery leadership, with a background in managing portfolios or practices instead of isolated projects.
• Strong ownership of profit and loss, with hands-on responsibility for revenue and margin across a business portfolio and a history of improving results.
• Proven success in building and leading delivery managers and cross-functional teams across multiple locations or geographies.
• Solid technical grounding in web, mobile, e-commerce, and content or experience platforms, including CMS and DXP environments, with exposure to composable or headless architecture being preferred.
• Confident executive communication skills and the ability to work credibly with senior client leaders, including handling sensitive commercial discussions.
• Good commercial and operational decision-making ability, with a habit of using portfolio metrics to identify issues early and respond effectively.
• A practical, well-informed view of modern delivery, including scaled agile approaches, adaptable delivery methods, and AI-supported delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of delivery across a portfolio of digital programs, including outcomes, financial performance, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Manage the portfolio P&L, including revenue, margin, utilization, and forecast accuracy, while actively controlling the underlying drivers.
• Lead, coach, and develop delivery managers, while stepping in when engagements begin to drift off plan.
• Act as the main senior contact for clients during critical situations and difficult commercial conversations, helping prevent escalations.
• Set expectations for delivery excellence across the portfolio through better estimation, governance, quality controls, delivery methods, and shared learning.
• Monitor portfolio risk closely, spot delays or slippage early, and deploy the right corrective actions and resources.
• Work with sales and account teams to support growth through pursuit shaping, estimate validation, staffing plans, and expansion within existing accounts.
• Push delivery modernization by introducing AI-assisted engineering and workflow practices, stronger tooling, and scalable operating models.
• Strengthen the talent bench through hiring, capability planning, and succession planning to reduce over-reliance on individual heroes.
