Design Assistant

Role overview

Fred Perry, founded in 1952 by triple Wimbledon champion Fred Perry, is a global community of more than 370 people united by the Laurel Wreath and what it stands for. The company is looking for a creative Design Assistant to join the design function on a fixed-term freelance contract.

Assignment details

This is a 3-month contract, with work expected across 4 to 5 days each week.

What you will do

• Help the studio with everyday operational and design-related tasks.
• Support design research and concept development work.
• Create technical flats in Adobe Illustrator and prepare Photoshop visual renders.
• Assist the wider design team with ongoing projects and workflows.

What we are looking for

• A creative person who is self-driven and genuinely interested in design.
• Solid CAD and Illustrator capability.
• Strong enthusiasm for design development and learning the brand process.
• Good research skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Menswear experience is preferred, though not essential.
