About the Role
As an essential part of the Mene Mai Ano team, you will contribute significantly to Kahungunu Executive's mission to deliver culturally respectful, equitable, and tailored dental care services within the Wairoa community.
Primary Duties
- Assist the Mene Mai Ano clinical team during dental procedures by providing chairside support.
- Maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients receiving dental care.
- Ensure clinics are properly prepared and comply with infection control regulations and standards.
- Support oral health services by managing patient administration, upholding infection control, promoting oral health education, and creating a welcoming, culturally safe atmosphere for whānau.

- Familiarity with the Whānau Ora healthcare model.
- Understanding of health, social, and community support systems.
- Established community connections and knowledge of local service providers.
- Awareness of pertinent legislation such as the Privacy Act and Health & Disability Standards.
- Experience working with children (tamariki), youth (rangatahi), whānau, and Māori populations.
- Previous involvement in healthcare, dental, or community support roles.
