Role Overview

This full-time position is based on-site in Tirana, Albania, as a Debt Collector. The role involves reaching out to customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, and face-to-face communication, maintaining a respectful and professional tone throughout. Daily activities include negotiating payment plans, providing clear account updates, and thoroughly documenting customer interactions in company systems.

The role requires close collaboration with the finance team to reconcile payments, maintain accurate records, and help achieve collection targets while following organizational policies and regulatory guidelines. The Debt Collector will supervise account portfolios, ensure follow-up on agreed payments, and escalate complex situations when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experienced in debt and cash collection with the ability to manage overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Strong communication skills, including both verbal and written abilities, attentive listening, and a customer-centric attitude.
• Proficient with computer systems, including office applications, CRM platforms, and data entry tools.
• Understanding of finance principles related to consumer credit, account reconciliation, and financial documentation.
• Detail-oriented, adept at problem-solving, and capable of handling multiple cases simultaneously.
• Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality with sensitive financial information, and compliance with legal and ethical collection standards.
• Preferably has previous experience in banking, microfinance, or credit institutions and fluency in the Albanian language; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
• Possesses at least a secondary education diploma; further studies in finance, business, or related fields are advantageous.
