Data Architect - Informatica DEI/BDM Specialist

Overview

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and involves spearheading the architecture and solution design for enterprise-scale data lakehouse initiatives supporting banking and financial services domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive Informatica DEI/BDM architectural frameworks aligned with the company's Data Lakehouse strategy.
• Design robust data integration pipelines handling batch, micro-batch, and real-time workflows from initial ingestion through multiple refinement layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, FS-LDM/FSAS).
• Define architecture standards, reusable patterns, and best practice guidelines for development and operational teams.
• Oversee technical reviews and approvals for designs, mappings, workflows, and deployment assets across the Informatica ecosystem.
• Lead governance for Informatica DEI, BDM, Blaze Engine, and Spark-based processing including setting coding and performance standards.
• Mentor teams and conduct architecture assessments to ensure scalable, low-latency real-time integrations supported by CDC, event-driven ingestion, and Kafka solutions.
• Architect execution frameworks on Cloudera Data Platform, Hadoop, and Spark clusters optimizing distributed processing and resource utilization.
• Implement metadata management, data lineage, and governance to ensure compliance with enterprise standards supporting quality, reconciliation, and audit requirements.
• Optimize workflows, mappings, Blaze executions, and Spark jobs to secure scalability, fault tolerance, and operational excellence within 24x7 production environments servicing mission-critical BFSI workloads.
• Design integration strategies with major databases and messaging platforms including Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server and APIs.
• Evaluate existing Informatica setups to identify gaps and lead modernization, remediation, and onboarding of new business data domains.
• Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, data architects, engineering teams, platform partners, and business stakeholders while actively participating in governance boards and design reviews.

Required Skills and Experience

• Over 10 years of extensive Informatica experience covering DEI, BDM, PowerCenter, PowerExchange, and Metadata Manager.
• Deep understanding of CDC and real-time data ingestion frameworks.
• Proficient in big data technologies such as Cloudera Data Platform, Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HDFS, and Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Data Lakehouse architectures with practical expertise in designing Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers, metadata-driven frameworks, and data governance protocols.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization on Oracle, Teradata, and SQL Server databases.
• Strong background in enterprise integration architecture, ETL/ELT patterns, real-time processing, capacity planning, scalability, and high availability.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Domain knowledge in Banking and Financial Services Industry with exposure to regulatory reporting and customer, finance, risk, treasury data domains.
• Experience with FS-LDM and FSAS frameworks is highly advantageous.
