Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst / Business Intelligence expert to join the Canadian data team at Eucalyptus / Hims & Hers Canada. This unique role offers end-to-end ownership of analytics for the entire national business unit, providing exposure to multiple departments including growth, product, finance, and operations. The candidate will collaborate closely with the Lead Data Scientist and benefit from interaction with our experienced US analytics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Looker Studio, Google Sheets, and others as required.
- Design, support, and interpret A/B tests and experimental data.
- Conduct cohort and retention analyses for the Canadian subscription business.
- Write and enhance SQL queries to derive insights directly from BigQuery data.
- Perform light data engineering tasks in Dataform to maintain healthy data pipelines and models.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders from Growth, Product, Finance, and Care/Operations to translate business needs into actionable analyses.
- Analyze metrics from a strategic business perspective, focusing on the implications and subsequent actions rather than just numerical values.
- Work alongside the US analytics team to adopt and adapt best practices to the Canadian business environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in analytics, BI, or a related data role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL is essential.
- Proficient in Python for analytics purposes.
- Experience in building dashboards and reports using various BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimental analytics.
- Knowledge of cohort and retention analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL-based data engineering tasks such as data modeling and pipeline troubleshooting.
- Experience utilizing AI-enabled tools for analytics and coding (e.g., Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
- Strong communication skills suitable for remote, cross-functional, and cross-border collaboration.
- Ability to connect business context with metrics, questioning the reasoning behind data before focusing on technical execution.
Preferred Skills
- Background in product, finance, acquisition funnel, retention, or growth analytics.
- Experience with subscription business models.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, specifically BigQuery and Dataform.
