Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable Data Analyst to join our team remotely in Canada on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis along with master data management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and reconcile extensive datasets from ERP systems, data warehouses, third-party platforms, and supplier databases.
• Conduct data gap analyses, perform attribute-level validations, and ensure data quality through rigorous checks.
• Integrate diverse data sets involving suppliers, manufacturing processes, shipments, pricing structures, and transaction records.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to facilitate compliance, audits, and strategic business decisions.
• Develop thorough documentation of data lineage, metadata, and traceability to ensure reports are auditable.
• Assess supplier and manufacturing data to uphold material and production traceability standards.
• Assist with unit, system, and user acceptance tests, including identifying defects and performing data remediation.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and clearly communicate data logic, transformation processes, and data flows.

Skills and Experience Required

• Extensive experience in data analysis and foundational understanding of master data management.
• Proficient in SQL and Python programming languages.
• Familiarity with data mapping and documenting data lineage logic and date requirements.
• Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, reconciliation procedures, and business intelligence or reporting tools.
• Excellent ability to clarify data lineage, logic, and traceability to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting, compliance regulations, or audit processes is preferred.
