Data & AI Project Lead - Banking

About the Role

Nair Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Data & AI Project Lead to drive major data and artificial intelligence projects within their Qatar operations, focusing specifically on the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of project delivery encompassing planning, execution, governance, and formal closure stages.
• Effectively manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders spanning business units, IT departments, and external partners.
• Implement project governance through Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog oversight, and tracking progress with JIRA tools.
• Lead Project Review Working Groups to provide timely project updates, address risks, and support decision-making processes.
• Oversee vendor collaboration, ensuring compliance with deadlines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Track and manage dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations across diverse project workstreams.
• Ensure the successful execution of data, analytics, governance, and AI initiatives aligned to organizational goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least 12 years of experience leading extensive Data and AI projects, preferably in banking or financial services sectors.
• Deep technical knowledge of data platforms, analytics architectures, and AI-driven solutions.
• Proven track record managing complex stakeholder frameworks and delivering projects within strict deadlines.
• Practical experience with Agile project management, JIRA, and related collaboration platforms.
• Excellent communication, team leadership, and vendor management capabilities.
• Exposure to GCC and/or Qatar banking environments is strongly preferred.
