Role Overview

We are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Security Officer Floaters in Rockford, IL. This position offers a pathway for both beginners and experienced candidates to pursue a career in security services, with comprehensive training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a security post by supervising premises, directing visitors, issuing access credentials, and escorting as needed.
• Record visitor information and generate basic logs using the security system.
• Perform foot patrols following established post directives.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations according to site orders.
• Identify and report potential hazards to ensure safety of staff and visitors.
• Wear and upkeep necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) according to policies.
• Comply with site-specific procedures and post guidelines.
• Provide coverage by working extra hours and filling shifts as required.
• Conduct duties ethically, honestly, and professionally while upholding company policies and a respectful environment.
• Adhere to attendance expectations and foster positive interactions with all customers and colleagues.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic familiarity with security technology and equipment.
• Physically capable to handle the demands of the position.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including drug testing and background check.

Educational & Certification Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Possession of a Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
• Completion of a 20-hour basic security training course.
