Customer Service - Self Storage Manager

Role overview

Public Storage is seeking a self-storage property manager to support multiple locations and deliver customer-focused service. The role combines sales, operations, cash handling, property upkeep, and customer account follow-up in an independent working environment.

Compensation and schedule

This position pays $17.00 per hour. Work is scheduled on a full-time, flexible basis between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm, with weekend shifts running until 5:00 pm.

What the job involves

The property manager works across multiple sites and spends time both indoors and outdoors. It also involves checking units daily to confirm inventory and readiness, balancing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and following up on payments through reminders and collection calls when needed.

Physical expectations

Candidates should be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds. The job requires moving around facilities for as much as half of the working time in outdoor conditions, including climbing stairs and opening large doors. Regular cleaning and basic maintenance are also part of the work, such as sweeping and mopping interior spaces and keeping exterior areas tidy and free of debris.

Qualifications and travel requirements

Applicants should have experience in customer service and sales-oriented environments such as retail, restaurants, fast food, or similar service businesses. A valid driver’s license is required, along with access to a personal vehicle for travel between locations and other business-related errands. Mileage reimbursement is available for this travel.
