Role overview

Boots Ireland is hiring a Customer Assistant for an on-site retail position in Cork, County Cork. This role is suited to someone starting out in their career or to an individual with prior retail experience who wants a fresh challenge. You will be part of a team that supports customers, keeps the store operating smoothly, and contributes to a welcoming shopping environment.

What you'll do

• Support shoppers at the tills, in the sales area, or in the stock room, depending on store needs.
• Give customers a friendly and reassuring service by listening carefully, answering questions, sharing product guidance, and suggesting suitable items.
• Promote in-store offers, schemes, and promotions so customers are aware of the benefits available to them.
• Help maintain a well-run store by making sure merchandise is correctly displayed, tills are serviced efficiently, and stock is managed properly.
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver a positive shopping experience and keep the store clean, organised, and presentable.

What we're looking for

Full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a busy, fast-moving setting, able to communicate clearly, and happy to work as part of a collaborative team. A strong attention to the small details that improve customer interactions is important, along with a genuine interest in representing the Boots brand well. Previous experience in customer care or retail service is helpful but not required.
