Role Overview
The Crew Planning & Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Roster Helpdesk, ensuring efficient handling of crew scheduling issues and maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Roster Helpdesk activities by tracking incoming requests, logging issues, and delegating tickets to the relevant teams or individuals.
- Guarantee all helpdesk tickets are resolved and closed within a 24-hour time frame, in accordance with internal service agreements.
- Actively monitor outstanding tickets and escalate complex or urgent matters to the management team.
- Assist Crew Scheduling and Crew Control departments as needed to support operations.
- Implement decisions following company protocols, including internal work instructions, CATS, CARS, and the Operations Manual.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth management during operational irregularities.
- Generate and submit detailed daily, monthly, and yearly reports regarding ticket resolution, helpdesk performance, and operational issues.
- Keep precise records of all roster adjustments originating from other departments for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Analyze and visualize operational data through graphs and dashboards for comprehensive reporting.
- Complete all daily system checks and process verifications promptly to ensure operational readiness.
- Monitor crew adherence to rest periods, duty limits, and flight times as mandated by regulations and company policies.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management to enhance crew planning and scheduling effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification is essential.
- A diploma or degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is advantageous.
- At least three years of experience in Crew Scheduling or Training Planning is required.
- Sound knowledge of CATS, CARS, and SACAA Regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong capabilities in report writing and data analysis.
- Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette skills.
- Availability and willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary.
