Creative Designer - Automotive (Niche EV Projects)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Creative Designer to join a Warwick-based original equipment manufacturer (OEM) working on innovative, niche electric vehicle (EV) programs intended for the global market. You will become part of the UK design facility team that is actively engaged in new vehicle projects. This opportunity is on a contract basis, structured outside the IR35 legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design development of specialized vehicle programs.
• Create design concepts focusing on exterior and some interior vehicle components.
• Exhibit strong sketching capabilities, forward-thinking creative design ideation, and thorough integration of vehicle aesthetics with innovative design strategies.
• Develop foundational volume models using Blender software to direct the digital modelling team's efforts.
• Collaborate closely with the digital modelling division throughout your design assignments.

Essential Requirements

• Degree qualification with verifiable professional experience in automotive exterior and interior design.
• A robust portfolio showcasing superior sketching expertise.
• Proficient and experienced user of Blender for 3D design and modelling.
• Demonstrated flexibility in designing across all exterior aspects as well as selected interior elements, from overall vehicle proportions to minute detailing.
