About the Company
Limak Al-Ayuni JV, a partnership between Al-Ayuni Investment & Contracting and Limak Holding, is spearheading significant infrastructure development in Trojena, NEOM, Saudi Arabia. The joint venture has secured a €1.2 billion contract aimed at creating innovative tourism and transportation infrastructure for an all-season destination, which will also be the venue for the 2029 Asian Winter Games. Key initiatives include The Vault, a large vertical mixed-use development combining residential, hospitality, retail, entertainment, and cultural facilities designed with sustainability and compact living in mind. In addition, the project encompasses the construction of Time Travel Tunnels, twin transport tunnels connecting major hubs like The Vault, Mirage Visitor Centre, and Mirage Freight Depot, facilitating critical logistics and mobility.
Role Overview
This position is for a Crane Rigger working full-time onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities include preparing, inspecting, and organizing lifting gear, rigging loads following lift plans, and guiding crane operators to ensure materials are safely and efficiently moved. The role demands evaluation of load weight and balance, suitable equipment selection, load attachment and securing, and adherence to safety protocols and legal standards. Collaboration with supervisors, engineers, and equipment operators is essential. Additional duties include participating in safety meetings, keeping rigging and inspection documentation up to date, and assisting with crane and lifting equipment assembly and dismantle as needed.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in planning and conducting lifting operations, including rigging, signaling, and controlling loads during complex construction tasks.
- Proven experience handling heavy machinery in large-scale industrial or infrastructure settings, maintaining safety around operational equipment.
- Comprehensive understanding of rigging hardware such as slings, shackles, hooks, and spreader beams, including selecting and utilizing appropriate gear correctly.
- Capability to conduct detailed inspections of rigging equipment and cranes, detect faults, and accurately document findings consistent with safety requirements.
- Familiarity with various crane types, their operational constraints, load charts, and site-specific lifting guidelines.
- Possession of recognized certifications or training in rigging and lifting operations from accredited bodies or national authorities.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe practices applicable to construction environments.
- Able to interpret lift plans, basic technical schematics, and communicate effectively with crane operators and team members.
- Experience of several years in rigging and crane support roles is expected.
