Role Overview

This contract opportunity is for a Corporate M&A Paralegal supporting transaction work remotely. The position involves assisting legal teams across the full lifecycle of mergers and acquisitions, with a strong emphasis on confidential data handling and privacy compliance.

Pay is set at $40 to $70 per hour, and the expected weekly commitment is between 10 and 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside attorneys and deal teams throughout every phase of M&A transactions, including diligence, document preparation, and post-closing tasks.
Sort, review, and maintain confidential corporate and financial records while adhering to strict PII compliance standards.
Manage the secure redaction, storage, and transfer of personal and sensitive information during deal execution.
Prepare, file, and update compliance records and regulatory paperwork as needed.
Run checks related to PII compliance, spot potential issues, and help improve workflows that strengthen data protection.
Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and outside parties by providing clear written and verbal updates on requirements, progress, and risks.

Requirements

Substantial hands-on experience with PII compliance in a corporate law or M&A environment.
Proficiency in safeguarding sensitive and proprietary documents.
Solid understanding of mergers and acquisitions procedures, terminology, and standard practices.
Strong knowledge of privacy, compliance, and regulatory frameworks relevant to data handling.
Demonstrated ability to manage detailed financial records and diligence documentation.
