Job Overview

The Contract Specialist role entails managing the entire lifecycle of service contracts from initial requisition through to award and execution. The position demands adherence to company procurement policies and ethical guidelines ensuring transparency and value-creation in all procurement activities. This role involves leading bid evaluations, issuing requests for proposals, and coordinating between suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure competitively priced and high-quality contractual services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with organizational ethics, procurement policies, procedures, and regulations to uphold integrity and promote transparent procurement outcomes.
  • Leverage advanced knowledge of contracting principles to enhance functional procurement capabilities and improve service contract quality.
  • Clearly communicate complex contracting details to stakeholders to facilitate informed and effective decisions in uncomplicated scenarios.
  • Provide informal mentorship to new team members, supporting their onboarding and consistent application of procurement standards.
  • Utilize technical expertise and established precedents to address and resolve common contracting challenges efficiently and compliantly.
  • Oversee and coordinate the full development process of service contracts.
  • Conduct evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of diverse contracts ensuring they meet all commercial, technical, and legal requirements.
  • Suggest improvements to contracting procedures to boost efficiency, compliance, and overall procurement performance.
  • Track adherence to procurement KPIs, proactively managing any identified risks or gaps.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and correspondence for all contracting activities throughout the contract duration.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Between three to nine years of relevant procurement contract experience.
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
