Compounder

Job purpose

The role is focused on weighing synthetic and natural aroma chemicals, oils, and powder ingredients precisely against the specified formula, while following company standard operating procedures and health, safety, and hygiene rules. The position also requires working collaboratively with the team and staying in contact with other departments to resolve issues promptly and help sustain a strong level of customer service.

Reporting line

This position reports to the Production Shift Manager.

Key duties

• Verify tank labels against the accompanying paperwork to ensure all details match accurately.
• Keep all equipment clean and in proper condition at all times.
• Compound raw materials in line with the formulation provided.
• Use raw materials in first-in, first-out order.
• Confirm that finished jobs are combined and rechecked by weight before packing.
• Complete handover or graveyard sheets properly when work cannot be finished within the shift.
• Escalate any spills or mistakes immediately.
• Follow all hygiene, safety, and health procedures without exception.
• Carry out any additional tasks needed to support day-to-day operations.

Skills and attributes

• Positive attitude and a strong team-oriented approach.
• Self-driven, with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Comfortable using basic IT systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX would be a plus.
• Strong numeracy and communication abilities.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Good time management skills.
• Valid FLT licence.
