Community Engagement Advisor (Part-time)

About the Role

Bendigo Bank is seeking a Community Engagement Advisor to join their Kyabram branch on a part-time basis, contributing 45 hours per fortnight. This role is vital for fostering strong relationships within the local community and aligning engagement activities with the branch's business objectives. As a key contributor, you will promote community growth and support the bank’s unique profit-with-purpose model, which reinvests earnings back into local initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Become an active presence within the Kyabram community by networking and collaborating with local groups, working closely with the board and branch management to develop community partnerships and events.
• Effectively communicate and share the bank's community initiatives and stories through diverse channels.
• Manage social media platforms and local marketing campaigns by creating engaging content to increase community interaction.
• Engage in continuous professional development through on-the-job training and other learning opportunities.
• Support community betterment and customer care while fostering positive, enjoyable workplace culture.

• Demonstrate strong commitment to excellent customer service and experience.
• Establish and sustain productive networking and working relationships.
• Possess effective communication skills to convey the Community Bank’s mission and stories.
• Exhibit excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Have experience in marketing and managing social media accounts.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in project or event management is a plus but not essential.
• Be comfortable using digital platforms and creative editing tools.
