ملازمت کی تفصیل

About the organisation

The Empathy Institute is an early-stage initiative dedicated to expanding empathy at scale and creating systems that help people notice and value their shared humanity. The team works across inner development and broader social change, combining personal growth with real-world impact.

The organisation is small and collaborative, made up of researchers, facilitators, and practitioners who are testing practical ways to strengthen dialogue across differences. Its current work includes dialogue methods, facilitator training, research on empathy and connection-focused technology, and advocacy for systems that help reduce polarisation.

Role overview

This position is for someone who can help shape how the organisation communicates its mission, projects, and point of view. You will work closely with the team on content development, copywriting, and overall communications, with meaningful creative input rather than purely administrative support.

The role is based in Berlin or can be done remotely. It requires around 5–10 hours per week for a period of 3 months and is unpaid.

What you will do

  • Create and share content for LinkedIn and Instagram, including posts, captions, and short-form copy.
  • Draft newsletters, website copy, and other written communication materials.
  • Contribute to the organisation’s broader marketing and communications efforts.
  • Edit podcast episodes and, if relevant, assist with short video editing as well.
  • Help refine how empathy, dialogue, and depolarisation are explained to different audiences.

What the organisation is looking for

  • A background in communications, journalism, political science, psychology, or a related area, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A genuine interest in building and contributing to a mission-driven project, not only supporting one.
  • Strong writing ability with a tone that feels authentic and non-corporate.
  • Some hands-on experience creating social media content.
  • Interest in human connection, empathy, and how meaningful dialogue works in practice.

What you can expect

  • Practical experience helping build an early-stage impact organisation from the ground up.
  • Direct mentorship from the founder.
  • A friendly, motivated, mission-driven team.
  • Coffee.

Additional information

The team is small but growing. If additional funding becomes available, there is a possibility that the right person could move into a paid role in the future, although this is not guaranteed.
