Commercial Manager

Position Overview

This position supports the commercial functions at PFMC (Saudi) focusing on ship repairs, conversions, and fabrication of marine and offshore structural blocks within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance commercial strategies aligned with marine and offshore projects in the Middle East, especially within Saudi Arabia.
• Lead and implement commercial approaches aiming to achieve revenue and margin objectives across ship repairs, conversions, and fabrication sectors in KSA.
• Build a new client base and manage vendor registration processes for marine and offshore customers in the Kingdom.
• Actively engage potential customers to promote Supply Base services and capabilities to generate additional revenue streams.
• Manage customer inquiries and prepare competitive offers and tariffs for PFMC.
• Monitor tender processes with clients and agents, negotiating contracts and projects effectively.
• Execute estimation and commercial invoicing activities in the Saudi market.
• Oversee client relations and provide regular reporting on completed work for PFMC.
• Collaborate with Saudi operations teams to maintain critical inventory levels of materials and consumables smoothly.
• Ensure internal teams comprehend and comply with contractual requirements and identify breaches or irregularities.
• Assess and advise on risk mitigation strategies for potential commercial risks.
• Support management in change handling, including negotiating and resolving change/variation orders with clients.
• Review and propose improvements to company policies and procedures related to commercial management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of six years of relevant commercial experience within the shipyard sector, with strong knowledge of the Saudi maritime business; Middle East regional experience is favored.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
• Experience using SAP Project Management software.
• Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in team management and leadership.
• Strong skills in client management and customer service.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or Maritime Studies.

Other Information

Certifications relevant to maritime commercial management are desirable.
