Role overview

Oji Fibre Solutions is seeking a Commercial Manager to join its Paper Bag operation in Penrose, Auckland. The company is a major New Zealand manufacturer and supplier of packaging solutions serving a broad range of industries across New Zealand and overseas, including food, primary produce, industrial and grocery customers.

In this position, you will be part of the senior leadership group and will help safeguard the financial strength of the business while supporting overall performance management. A major part of the role is to provide clear commercial and operational analysis that helps lift business results.

You will have a direct influence on profitability, cash flow outcomes, and the business’s future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Work across all parts of the business and take full ownership of reporting for actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provide commercial and operational insight that supports performance improvement.
• Help manage financial integrity and overall business performance.
• Influence profit delivery, cash flow, and growth initiatives.
• Lead, guide, and build capability within your team.

Requirements

• A tertiary qualification in BCom, together with a CA or an equivalent professional qualification, is required.
• Strong leadership capability is needed to manage and develop staff effectively.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting would be an advantage.
• Solid computer literacy is essential, including experience with automated accounting platforms such as SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
