Job Summary
The Collections Executive will oversee receivables, drive follow-up on unpaid invoices, and help keep customer relationships positive and professional. The position calls for consistent communication with clients, quick handling of billing issues, and close coordination with internal departments to support healthy cash flow and reduce overdue balances.
Key Responsibilities
- Track customer accounts to spot unpaid balances and overdue amounts.
- Contact clients by phone, email, and in-person meetings to secure timely payment.
- Match customer accounts and work through invoice mismatches or disputes.
- Compile and circulate regular ageing reports and collection progress updates for management.
- Work with finance, leasing, and operations teams to resolve client concerns quickly.
- Discuss and agree on payment arrangements when required, then monitor compliance with those terms.
- Keep detailed records of all follow-ups, collection actions, and client communications.
- Bring serious delinquent accounts to management’s attention along with suggested next steps.
- Assist with month-end close tasks linked to receivables and collections.
- Follow company policies and relevant regulations throughout the collection process.
Qualifications & Requirements
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar discipline, along with 3 to 5 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable. Background in real estate, property management, or facilities management is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable using ERP platforms such as Oracle Fusion or comparable systems, and must have strong Excel capability for reporting, reconciliation, and tracking. Good communication and negotiation skills, a sharp eye for detail, and solid problem-solving ability are essential.
