Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced CCTV Operator to monitor and safeguard the premises at our Jadcherla location in Telangana, India. The role requires vigilant surveillance to protect students, teaching and non-teaching staff, information, and property within the institute.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage CCTV systems by continuously monitoring all cameras during the shift, ensuring the equipment is functional and footage is properly recorded to the Network Video Recorder (NVR).
- Handle storage management tasks such as deleting or archiving outdated footage, organizing recordings systematically, and managing storage devices like compact discs, memory cards, hard drives, or servers.
- Maintain and troubleshoot surveillance equipment, coordinating with vendors or partners for repairs to both analog and digital systems as needed.
- Vigilantly watch video feeds to detect any unusual, suspicious, or illegal activities, taking detailed notes on observations.
- Report any criminal or suspicious activity promptly to the relevant authorities, providing vital details such as vehicle license plates, clothing descriptions, or identifiable markings to assist law enforcement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum educational qualification of Intermediate or Graduation level.
- At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience working as a CCTV Operator.
- Exceptional attention to detail to identify subtle activities that others might miss, to enhance security.
- Ability to multitask effectively, maintaining surveillance while handling phone calls or communication with colleagues.
- Capable of working independently, remaining alert without continuous supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with police, emergency personnel, and potentially providing court statements.
