We are currently looking for career changers as Specialists for Construction Site Safety (m/f/d) at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH for various locations including Altenburg, Bitterfeld, Falkenberg/Elster, Halle (Saale), Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Nordhausen, Sangerhausen, or Torgau.
Retraining Program
- Over approximately one year, you will progressively learn everything necessary for this profession.
- Theoretical lessons alternate with practical training, allowing you to learn and apply skills simultaneously.
- You will be supported by experienced colleagues to ensure a smooth start even if you are new to this field.
- Theoretical sessions are organized close to your residence, and practical deployments generally occur in your future work area.
- From the beginning, you will receive a secure income.
Responsibilities After Retraining
- Ensure that no one is harmed at our track construction sites while working as part of a team.
- Warn workers in the track area of approaching trains using various signals and modern warning systems.
- Implement safety regulations and conduct briefings for new safety personnel.
- Maintain communication with various contacts to guarantee smooth operations.
- Independently organize and monitor safety measures on construction sites.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum age of 18 and a secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss).
- No prior experience required, but you must be confident and reliable in ensuring safety.
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Fluent communication skills in German, both spoken and written.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and varying sites.
- Possession of a class B driving license and a personal vehicle is necessary.
