About the Project

The Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV), combining the expertise of WeBuild, Clough, and Lane, has been selected to design and construct Snowy 2.0, located in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales. Snowy 2.0 is one of the largest pumped hydro energy storage schemes globally and represents Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. It aims to provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for future generations, establishing a significant legacy in Australian history.

Role Summary

FGJV, on behalf of SC Hydro Pty Ltd, is recruiting Camp Maintenance – Refrigeration Technicians for the Snowy 2.0 Project based in the Snowy Monaro region. The positions follow a 14 days on, 7 days off roster with rotating day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Install and repair split system air conditioners
Perform air conditioner bag cleaning
Maintain cool rooms and reefers
Service and repair various refrigeration appliances
Conduct planned maintenance, including filter cleaning
Service and repair underground air conditioning units
Assist other trades as necessary
Operate from Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) and scaffolding safely

Essential Requirements

Valid driver's licence
Refrigeration Licence
General Construction Induction Training (White Card)
Authorized to work in Australia
Ability to successfully complete a criminal history check and medical examination

Additional Advantageous Qualifications

High Risk Work Licence
Working at Heights certification
Confined Space certification

Working Conditions

The roles are situated in remote and challenging environments with extreme cold temperatures, which applicants should consider prior to applying.

Legal and Employment Details

The employment contract will comply with legislation from either Australian or New Zealand Employment Law.
