Role Overview

The Business Analyst position is integral within the IT Operations Team, focusing on enabling smooth technological changes and maintaining operational stability. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, and third-party vendors to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and contribute tangible business benefits across projects and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and document both business and technical requirements via workshops, interviews, and structured evaluations.
• Conduct defect analysis and root cause investigations, reviewing data flows, integrations, and third-party services.
• Engage with external vendors to clarify needs, verify solutions, and assist in delivering desired results.
• Support design, development, testing including user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation, and post-launch assistance.
• Champion robust business analysis practices, deliver quality outputs, and drive continuous process improvements.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is technically adept and passionate about tackling complex challenges by enhancing systems and processes to produce solutions truly aligned with business needs. Strong interpersonal skills enable effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive, customer-focused attitude combined with the ability to build trust and foster ongoing improvement in a dynamic environment is essential.

• Relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within IT, with technical proficiency favored.
• Familiarity with integrations, APIs/web services, or SQL is important.
• Experience using Sonata or similar insurance administration/financial services software is advantageous.
• Demonstrated capability working with third-party vendors or outsourced delivery teams.
• Ability to simplify complex technical information into straightforward, practical outcomes.
• Diligent attention to detail and a proactive working style.
