Business Analyst / Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and results-oriented Business Analyst / Data Analyst to serve as the link between complex data environments and strategic business objectives. This hybrid role involves converting business goals into precise technical requirements and conducting quantitative analyses to derive commercial and operational insights. Collaboration with product leaders, engineering, finance teams, and business units is essential for analyzing KPIs, spotting operational trends, and modeling various business scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated business intelligence dashboards.
• Create optimized SQL queries to retrieve and transform large datasets from enterprise data warehouses.
• Perform statistical validation of data and map comprehensive business workflows.
• Lead presentations that effectively communicate data-driven insights to leadership.
• Support user acceptance testing for enhancements to internal systems and establish data governance policies to ensure accuracy of reports.

Necessary Qualifications and Skills

• Relevant bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or similar quantitative disciplines.
• Expertise in requirements engineering including elicitation, specification writing, user story creation, and business process mapping.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL, including complex joins, window functions, subqueries, and common table expressions across platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience building interactive, high-impact dashboards and reports in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
• Strong skills in spreadsheet software (Excel, Google Sheets) for variance analysis and financial/operational modeling using nested formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query.
• Familiarity with exploratory data analysis, basic statistical modeling, and scripting in Python or R for automated data processing.
• Experience in defining test cases, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and verifying data visualization accuracy before production releases.
• Capability in process mapping tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, or Miro to identify operational bottlenecks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for executives.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• High attention to detail, commitment to data quality, self-driven motivation, and continuous learning attitude towards analytical methods.
