Automation Test Engineer

Job Overview

The position entails working as an Automation Test Engineer primarily utilizing the Robot Framework. The role requires working knowledge of automation testing practices, scripting, and functional testing, with exposure to Agile and Scrum development processes. This position is based in Chennai at the client's site in the banking sector with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess foundational skills in automation testing leveraging the Robot Framework.
• Understand and apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) testing methodologies.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts with basic proficiency.
• Write and execute automated scripts to support software quality assurance.
• Utilize SQL or MongoDB for efficient database query operations.
• Perform API testing to validate service functionalities.
• Conduct functional and end-to-end testing to ensure feature integrity.
• Collaborate within Agile and Scrum teams to integrate testing efforts effectively.

Technical and Behavioral Skills

• Expertise with Robot Framework and test automation tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and usage of GitLab pipelines for CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python programming and development using PyCharm.
• Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and ALM Octane.
