Job description
Role Overview
Join a team focused on maintaining and enhancing a global network infrastructure through a centralized platform managing thousands of external partners including ISPs, colocation facilities, hardware vendors, and managed service providers. This role balances onsite presence in Dublin D04 and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated workflows for partner onboarding, updating contacts, renewing services, and managing data lifecycles.
- Create self-service tools for operations teams to carry out bulk data tasks without engineering intervention.
- Establish automated alerts for outdated data, missing elements, and expiring service agreements.
- Construct ETL data pipelines to synchronize partner information across several internal platforms.
- Automate legacy data migration from spreadsheets, wikis, and isolated databases into the new platform.
- Design reconciliation scripts to identify inconsistencies and maintain data integrity across systems.
- Develop tools to automatically fetch partner contacts during network incidents for faster response.
- Create escalation and outreach workflows triggered by network events.
- Automate runbook procedures to optimize repetitive tasks.
- Build dashboards monitoring data quality, platform usage, and data freshness.
- Deploy automatic health checks and audits for duplicates, orphan records, and incomplete data.
- Generate regular management reports detailing automation outcomes and data health.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 3 years of experience in automation engineering, data engineering, or DevOps roles.
- Strong Python skills including scripting, API integration, and data manipulation.
- Experience working with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Proficient with SQL and concepts related to data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with job scheduling and orchestration tools such as Airflow or cron.
- Knowledge of data quality assurance principles including validation, deduplication, and reconciliation.
- Ability to handle large datasets involving multiple source systems.
- Strong independent problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with PHP or Hack server-side scripting.
- Familiarity with graph databases or entity relationship management systems.
- Background working with CRM, Master Data Management, or vendor management solutions.
- Understanding of network infrastructure concepts including ISPs, peering, colocation, and Points of Presence.
- Experience with Thrift or similar RPC frameworks.
- Telecom, network operations, or infrastructure services experience.
- Automation experience in large enterprise environments.
