Role Overview

The Associate in Strategy & Development will report to the Senior Director and play an essential role in crafting growth strategies, assessing capital projects, analyzing financial results, and facilitating debt financings. This role collaborates closely with senior leaders, supporting activities related to acquisitions, new hotel developments, corporate strategy, finance, and special projects, thereby gaining deep exposure to the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior executives on strategic decisions and special initiatives
• Create engaging presentations to communicate strategy updates
• Analyze and monitor performance metrics for properties and the company
• Support communications with the Board of Directors and parent company
• Evaluate and conduct due diligence on new investment opportunities including acquisitions and developments
• Perform independent market and project research as needed
• Coordinate with partners and stakeholders throughout deal processes
• Manage transaction lifecycle from sourcing to execution and opening
• Assist in assessing debt financing for hotel projects and existing portfolio
• Prepare monthly executive reports related to investments and financing
• Attend required meetings and training, adhere to company policies and safety standards
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred; background in investment banking favored but consulting and commercial real estate experience considered
• Financial modeling capabilities preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines accurately
• Adaptable to changing priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% (about one two-day trip per month)

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $125,000 annually, dependent on experience.
