The Opportunity

Hype DC is seeking a retail leader to join the store leadership team at Pacific Fair. In this Assistant Store Manager role, you will help bring the brand direction to life, shape a high-performing store culture, deliver memorable customer moments, and maintain strong operational standards.

You will partner closely with the Area Manager to foster a people-first environment, grow sales, and continue building your own leadership career.

Key Responsibilities

• Build an energetic, world-class team culture and keep the store atmosphere engaging and inspiring.
• Lead a high-volume, multimillion-dollar store and work toward sales targets and key business metrics.
• Execute the brand’s vision and strategic direction on a daily basis.
• Keep the customer at the centre of decision-making and consistently deliver memorable service.
• Develop, empower, and support team members to create a people-first workplace.
• Coach the team with regular guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Handle recruitment, selection, and onboarding for new store team members.
• Support a smooth omni-channel customer journey by preparing online orders for in-store fulfilment.
• Maintain best-in-class visual merchandising standards across the store.
• Help ensure the store remains a fun, safe environment for both customers and staff.

What You Need

• Strong collaboration skills and a drive for excellence across sales, store operations, and loss prevention.
• Proven passion for delivering memorable, high-quality customer experiences.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and lift the performance of a large team of brand ambassadors.
• Previous experience as a retail store manager in a fast-moving environment.
• A self-starting, driven mindset and a strong bias toward action.
• Strategic thinking skills with the ability to spot missed opportunities and improve results.
• A track record of improving sales performance and key KPI outcomes.
• Experience managing rosters and controlling wage costs effectively.
