Job Summary

This role supports the development and management of customer relationships in Qatar. The position focuses on promoting and selling banking products and services, recommending suitable solutions based on client requirements, and helping the bank meet sales goals while maintaining strong credit standards.

Relationship Management

  • Support routine business development activities for the wholesale banking portfolio and help bring in new customers to contribute to corporate banking growth objectives.
  • Carry out the required due diligence and follow the correct structuring process to safeguard the bank’s interests and complete new relationship bookings efficiently.
  • Increase product usage and cross-selling by joining customer meetings with the relevant banking specialists.
  • Keep track of structured finance and investment banking opportunities through ongoing analysis and study.
  • Help identify and build new relationships in line with the bank’s strategic and commercial priorities.
  • Arrange regular meetings with portfolio clients to present the bank’s products and services, improve revenue from the portfolio, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers so they remain informed about products and services that suit their needs and credit profile.
  • Receive credit requests and supporting documents from customers, review the information for basic plausibility and preliminary rejection criteria, and forward the necessary documents to Credit Analysis to support the approval process.
  • Support timely payment collection by reminding customers close to due dates and actively following up on renewals.

Customer Analysis

  • Collect and review information on current and prospective customers, including creditworthiness, credit data, and financial details, to ensure all needed inputs are available for smooth processing.
  • Assess existing and potential clients to identify their broader banking requirements and match them with suitable products and services.
  • Prepare account plans promptly and consistently, follow up on identified opportunities, and keep the team leader updated on portfolio account progress.
  • Manage client portfolios based on customer needs to improve product sales, increase footprint and assets under management, and optimise returns.
  • Track and review lending portfolio performance and risk, and assist with collection-related activities.

MIS and Reports

Prepare departmental MIS statements and reports accurately and on time in line with the bank’s and department’s requirements, policies, and standards.
