Assistant Psychologist

Overview

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, through NHS West Sussex Talking Therapies, is looking to fill two part-time Assistant Psychologist positions at 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE). These paid roles aim to support aspiring clinical psychologists who are aware of and reflect on various personal and societal biases.

Role Purpose

The Assistant Psychologist will assist in clinical, training, audit, and research projects. They will receive regular supervision from trained supervisors tailored to their professional development needs. The role involves working independently within an agreed plan subject to review.

Successful candidates will acquire experience within community mental health environments, multidisciplinary teams, and complex cases. They will contribute to psychological formulations, apply basic psychological therapies in structured settings, and engage in evaluation, audit, and report writing to support service progress.
