Role Overview
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a supportive role in the delivery of infrastructure projects while advancing your project management skills within a consultancy setting. Collaborating with experienced Project and Senior Project Managers, you will engage with every stage of the project lifecycle, helping coordinate activities, maintain stakeholder relationships, and ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing infrastructure projects from initial planning through to completion
- Organize and maintain project documentation, compliance, reporting, and governance
- Support activities related to programme, risk, and budget management
- Coordinate and participate in design team meetings
- Collaborate closely with consultants, contractors, and client representatives
- Track project progress and assist in managing follow-up actions
- Support procurement processes and contract administration tasks
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with project stakeholders
- Prepare project reports, meeting summaries, and status updates
- Contribute to successful project delivery through proactive coordination and communication
Candidate Requirements
- 1 to 3 years' experience in project management, construction, infrastructure, engineering, architecture, or related fields
- Experience working in project delivery settings and with multidisciplinary consulting teams
- Strong communication and relationship management abilities
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Confidence in managing meetings and handling competing priorities
- Meticulous attention to detail and adept problem-solving capabilities
- Proactive mindset with eagerness to learn from seasoned professionals
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, architecture, property, project management, or allied disciplines
