Job description
Role Overview
This position involves supporting the growth and activation of JTC’s LaunchPad ecosystems, creating a dynamic environment that fosters collaboration among startups, corporations, and research entities. The role focuses on strategy formulation, partnership cultivation, community engagement, and program design to advance innovation and collaboration. Acting as a vital link between JTC and external partners, you will contribute to strengthening Singapore’s innovation ecosystem and establishing LaunchPads as leading centers for deep technology and emerging industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the formulation of strategies aimed at expanding the LaunchPad community and meeting Singapore's innovation objectives.
- Regularly monitor industry trends to inform and align programming efforts.
- Measure and report on community growth and performance indicators.
- Develop and sustain partnerships with accelerators, investors, academic institutions, and government bodies.
- Facilitate the drafting and execution of partnership agreements that benefit the broader community.
- Support matchmaking efforts between startups and corporate entities or business partners.
- Organize and coordinate events to encourage networking, knowledge exchange, and community building.
- Provide startups with mentorship and resources necessary for their growth.
- Assist in running innovation programs that foster collaboration between startups and businesses.
- Support talent development initiatives designed to attract and train innovation-driven professionals.
- Experiment with innovative approaches to enhance ecosystem value.
- Gather and analyze data regarding community activities and events to guide improvements.
- Prepare and present progress reports and outcome summaries to senior leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Educational background preferably in Real Estate, Geography, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Proven experience in ecosystem development, innovation management, corporate partnerships, or community building within startup environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Singapore’s and the regional startup and innovation landscapes.
- Ability to effectively build and maintain diverse stakeholder relationships spanning public, private, and academic sectors.
- Competency in designing programs, managing events, and engaging community participants.
- Strategic mindset combined with strong analytical skills and comfort using data to drive decisions.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills along with proven stakeholder management abilities.
