Role Overview
The Assistant Manager will oversee several research and advisory projects, ensuring prompt delivery of high-standard, client-ready outputs. The role demands excellent capabilities in project oversight, engagement with stakeholders, analytical reasoning, and research to facilitate strategic decisions for both internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple research projects, managing them from initial definition through to execution and final delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, monitor timelines, progress, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Serve as the main liaison for project stakeholders, maintaining strong communication and managing relationships effectively.
- Collect client requirements, respond to feedback constructively, solve problems, and seek opportunities for upselling and enhancing client value.
- Lead research assignments covering business, market, industry, company, and financial analysis.
- Apply both qualitative and quantitative methods to derive actionable insights and formulate recommendations.
- Produce reports, presentations, market evaluations, benchmarking analyses, and strategic intelligence documentation.
- Critically assess deliverables for precision, completeness, and alignment with client expectations and project goals.
- Proactively identify potential project risks or issues and manage escalation when needed.
- Collaborate extensively with internal teams, subject matter experts, and different practice areas.
- Contribute to knowledge management efforts and help develop thought leadership content.
- Guide and mentor junior analysts on research techniques and quality standards for deliverables.
- Utilize various research tools, databases, and emerging tech platforms to enhance efficiency and insight quality.
- Effectively employ data visualization and storytelling to present complex findings clearly and engagingly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, English Literature, Mass Communication, or related fields from a reputable institution.
- Between 4 to 6 years of professional experience in research, consulting, business intelligence, market intelligence, or analytics roles.
- Preferably experience with research and consulting firms, advisory bodies, knowledge services, or corporate strategy units.
- Proven ability to manage client-facing projects and handle multiple concurrent engagements effectively.
