Assistant Engineer (Industrial Product)

Role overview

This position focuses on hands-on field support for semiconductor lithography equipment in cleanroom settings. The role combines installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support for systems used at client sites.

What you will do

• Set up, configure, and validate equipment or systems at customer locations.
• Carry out preventive servicing as well as corrective repairs when issues arise.
• Investigate technical faults and restore equipment to working condition.
• Support customers both in person and remotely when problems need quick resolution.
• Guide users and clients on correct operation and routine upkeep of the equipment.
• Record service activity accurately through logs, reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Follow all relevant safety, regulatory, and company requirements while working.
• Discuss customer needs clearly and provide practical solutions.
• Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements when they are the best option.
• Travel regularly to customer sites to deliver service and support.
• Work with internal teams on escalations, issue resolution, and process improvements.
• Share observations from the field to help enhance product design and service quality.

Requirements

• A diploma or a higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Good understanding of electrical engineering principles, methods, and practices.
• Familiarity with regulations, codes, and safety standards related to electrical systems.
• Comfort using Office software and other engineering or technical applications, databases, and systems.
• Ability to work in 12-hour rotating shifts.

Additional information

This role involves frequent travel to client locations. Work will be carried out in cleanroom environments and requires coordination with both customers and internal teams. The position also includes rotation shift duty of 12 hours.
