Asia Pacific - Accounting Intern

Role summary

Shiseido Asia Pacific is looking for an Accounting Intern in Singapore to support the accounting functions for both the Asia Pacific and Singapore teams. This role offers exposure to accounts receivable processes and to different business units while learning practical accounting workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reconciliation tasks to support the financial year-end close.
• Help prepare reporting templates for the upcoming financial year.
• Assist during the year-end audit by coordinating with auditors and sharing supporting documents.
• Support month-end closing activities and contribute to quicker close cycles.
• Partner with the IT team to spot system or data issues and help improve data accuracy.
• Examine data carefully to identify possible integrity concerns.

Requirements

• Comfortable using MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Possess basic accounting knowledge.
• Able to collaborate effectively with teammates.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Capable of working independently with direction when needed.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
