Role Overview

The Admission Counsellor position involves guiding prospective students and their families through the intricacies of the admission process, academic offerings, financial assistance, and campus amenities. This role demands evaluation of student application materials, effective communication through sessions and presentations, and fostering partnerships with educational institutions to boost recruitment efforts.

Primary Duties

• Provide advisory services to prospective students and their families concerning admissions procedures, academic programs, financial aid, and campus life experiences.
• Assess student applications, including transcripts and supporting documents, to establish eligibility for admission.
• Lead individual and group information sessions, webinars, and presentations showcasing the institution.
• Build and sustain connections with high schools, community groups, and other educational partners.
• Support the organization and execution of recruitment activities such as campus visits, college fairs, and open houses.
• Assist candidates in navigating the application system and ensuring submission of all necessary documentation.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of prospective students and their application statuses.
• Provide insights to the admissions team about emerging trends and challenges experienced by prospective applicants.
• Keep informed on updates related to admission policies, academic offerings, and university programs.
