Accounts Receivable Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Officer to join a dynamic finance team, responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounts receivable function. This role requires precise handling of customer payments, allocation, and reconciliation while fostering strong relationships with clients and internal departments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments from customers and manage daily banking activities
• Allocate receipts accurately and reconcile transactions related to accounts receivable
• Prepare and distribute customer statements and payment reminders
• Proactively follow up on overdue accounts and address any outstanding payment issues
• Investigate and correct billing and account discrepancies efficiently
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date customer account and financial records
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing procedures
• Assist with audit processes and ensure compliance adherence
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to effectively manage customer accounts

Candidate Profile

• At least five years of experience in accounts receivable or credit control roles
• Possession of a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or an equivalent qualification
• Proficient knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting processes
• Experience with Pronto software is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong ability to perform reconciliations and solve problems independently
• Excellent organizational skills combined with a keen eye for detail
• Confident and professional communication style with a customer-focused mindset
• Capability to handle multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality of financial data
