Role Overview
This position involves overseeing the entire Accounts Payable process, ensuring that supplier invoices, employee expense reports, vendor reconciliations, accruals, and payment proposals are executed flawlessly and punctually.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete Accounts Payable workflow, guaranteeing timely and precise processing of supplier invoices, employee expenses, and payments.
- Validate invoices by performing three-way matching, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and the regulatory framework of Saudi Arabia.
- Develop payment proposals and liaise with the Treasury department to facilitate on-schedule payments to suppliers.
- Carry out supplier account reconciliations, address discrepancies, and track outstanding liabilities and aging within Accounts Payable.
- Assist with monthly and annual closing activities, including accruals and reconciling Accounts Payable to the General Ledger.
- Ensure adherence to IFRS standards, Saudi VAT rules, withholding tax, ZATCA mandates, and internal financial controls.
- Generate Accounts Payable reports, assist internal and external audits, and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Promote process optimizations and support enhancements in Microsoft Dynamics 365 while collaborating with various teams.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline is required.
- At least five years of accounting experience, including a minimum of three years focused on Accounts Payable functions.
- Robust skills in supplier reconciliations, accrual accounting, month-end closures, and controlling Accounts Payable processes.
- Preferred experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or other sectors with high-volume transactions.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of Saudi VAT, withholding tax regulations, ZATCA requirements, and IFRS standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel combined with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a focus on continuous improvement.
