Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will lead key accounting functions including managing accounts payable and receivable, month-end closing, ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This role will also involve regulatory reporting, managing audits, supporting financial analytics for management, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee general ledger maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and travel/reimbursement tracking.
Regularly review and analyze balance sheets and income statements.
Manage daily accounting processes such as accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and system upkeep.
Collaborate with leadership to provide timely financial reports, including capital allocation and budget tracking.
Administer cash forecasting, capital calls, distributions, and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Respond to compliance requests from investors, auditors, and other stakeholders as needed.
Implement process improvements to streamline month-end close and leverage reporting tools.
Assist investment and investor relations teams with financial data for presentations and ad hoc reports.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 4 years of accounting experience; experience in renewable energy or carbon credits is advantageous but not mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA credential is a plus.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
Proficient understanding of GAAP and accounting regulations.
Experience handling month-end closings, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advanced skills in Excel and accounting software; familiarity with BOLO is preferred.
Competency in financial reporting and analysis.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Physical Requirements

Capability to sit for long periods, occasional standing and walking.
Frequent manual dexterity tasks such as typing and using controls.
Perform repetitive movements including mouse and keyboard use.
Good visual acuity for screen viewing and document reading.
Clear verbal communication skills.
Occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds and ability to bend, stoop, and reach.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000 annually, dependent on candidate qualifications. Employees have immediate access to health, insurance, and 401K plans, with the company covering 90% of health costs and full dental/vision premiums. Annual discretionary bonuses are awarded based on company and individual achievements.
