Role Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Finance team in Singapore. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate general ledger maintenance, timely completion of month-end and year-end closing, upholding internal controls related to financial reporting, and supporting audit and tax processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities efficiently.
• Prepare and review accounts payable, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, bank wire transfers, and conduct fluctuation analyses.
• Keep financial records, documentation, and standard operating procedures accurate and up-to-date.
• Identify opportunities to automate accounting, closing, and reconciliation workflows.
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax consultants, government bodies, and other external service providers.
• Compile financial statements and management reports.
• Manage cash flow monitoring and ensure adequate bank balances to meet operational needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 2 to 4 years of experience working at audit firms and/or in internal finance departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from an accredited university.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks, data analysis, and resolving discrepancies.
• Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
• Thorough knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, GST, and corporate tax matters.
• High ethical standards, accountability, and ability to perform well under pressure.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, and an understanding of financial markets is advantageous.
