Position Overview

We are looking to hire a meticulous and driven Accountant to aid in the financial and accounting operations across several business entities. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position is instrumental in ensuring precise financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and participation in all phases of the accounting cycle. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts for accurate cost and account coding.
  • Reconcile accounts between companies and track investments in subsidiary entities.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes effectively.
  • Accurately and promptly post deposits along with other cash transactions.
  • Monitor and report job-related costs across projects, including handling purchase orders and change orders.
  • Contribute to the oversight and updates of project budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries such as payroll, interest, and accruals for expenses and revenues.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage fixed asset records and process monthly depreciation entries.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and internal financial reports.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits ensuring strict adherence to company policies and internal controls.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of three years of professional accounting experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Experience in commercial real estate accounting is preferred.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer literacy.
