About the internship

Join the AI Data and Language Services team as a Punjabi language intern focused on transcription quality, audio annotation, and speech data work. This role supports AI training projects by producing accurate, consistent, and well-reviewed language outputs.

What you'll do

• Convert Punjabi audio into clear, accurate written transcripts.
• Handle audio labeling tasks such as annotation, segmentation, speaker identification, and classification.
• Check recordings for audio clarity and flag missing or unclear speech portions.
• Work according to project-specific transcription and annotation rules.
• Keep output accurate and consistent across all assigned files.
• Proofread and refine transcripts before delivery.
• Track daily progress and meet assigned deadlines.
• Coordinate with project managers on revisions and updates.
• Protect client data, audio assets, and project details with confidentiality.
• Support the creation of AI language datasets while maintaining quality standards.

Who can apply

This internship is open to candidates who can work from home, begin between 5 Jul 2026 and 9 Aug 2026, and commit for 2 months. Applicants should have relevant skills and interest, and Computer Science Engineering students are specifically mentioned as eligible.

Skills and requirements

• Strong Punjabi reading, writing, speaking, listening, and comprehension ability.
• Experience or familiarity with Punjabi transcription and audio annotation.
• Good proofreading, editing, and quality-checking ability.
• Careful attention to detail and a high accuracy mindset.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently.
• Time management skills to finish work within deadlines.
• A laptop or desktop with stable internet access is required.
• Native or fluent Punjabi speakers are preferred.
• Exposure to transcription, annotation, AI data collection, or language projects is an advantage.
• Freshers with excellent Punjabi language skills are welcome.
• Candidates should be disciplined, responsible, and quality-oriented.

Additional information

The stipend includes a fixed component of ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 per month and an incentive component of ₹2,000 to ₹9,000 per month.
