The team is seeking a creative, detail-driven editor to craft engaging YouTube videos for a fast-growing digital platform that serves creators, entrepreneurs, and educators. The work centers on turning raw footage into polished stories that inform, inspire, and keep viewers watching.
You will work closely with creative strategists, producers, and content teams to produce high-quality videos designed for strong audience engagement. The role calls for both technical editing ability and a solid grasp of YouTube storytelling, pacing, and viewer behavior.
This position plays an important part in growing the brand’s content presence by testing new formats, strengthening retention, and improving the viewing experience for a global audience.
Key responsibilities
- Shape long-form YouTube videos with a strong narrative arc, effective pacing, clear structure, and editing choices that support audience retention.
- Turn interviews, educational content, customer stories, and product-related material into clear and engaging video stories.
- Work with producers and strategists to refine the creative direction, story progression, tone, and overall finish of each video.
- Produce short-form versions and social media cutdowns from longer edits.
- Improve videos with motion graphics, text animation, music, and sound design to increase clarity and elevate the viewer experience.
- Keep projects organized, maintain efficient editing workflows, and deliver consistent quality across multiple assignments.
- Use feedback, performance data, and audience insights to continuously improve content impact and effectiveness.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 5+ years of professional video editing experience, along with a strong portfolio of YouTube-related work.
- Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io.
- Deep understanding of YouTube storytelling, retention, pacing, and engagement techniques.
- Experience editing content in educational, creator, business, SaaS, technology, or brand-focused formats.
- Ability to simplify complex ideas into videos that are entertaining, clear, and visually compelling.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with producers, strategists, and other creative partners.
- Excellent organizational habits and the ability to manage several projects, deadlines, and feedback rounds at once.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, motion graphics, YouTube analytics, or performance-led editing would be an added advantage.
