Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

Operating primarily in the Midlands region, the Water Technician ensures all work complies with current regulations and documented procedures, following Marlowe Environmental Services' method statements.

• Maintain and uphold Health and Safety standards for your team, subcontractors, and clients in line with company policies.
• Organize and manage workload to complete scheduled tasks efficiently and on time.
• Engage proactively with client representatives as needed and report relevant issues to your field manager or client contacts.
• Strictly follow client-specific Health and Safety and Safe Working practices.
• Ensure that all equipment used is safe and suitable for tasks.
• Perform Water Technician Level 1 duties per method statements, including:

• Servicing Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV), including failsafe testing and disassembly.
• Assisting with cleaning cooling towers and water tanks.
• Inspecting water storage tanks.
• Monitoring temperatures with precise recording of data.
• Sampling domestic water systems and submitting samples accurately to laboratories.
• Descaling and cleaning showers and shower heads.
• Flushing rarely used outlets to maintain water quality.

All documentation must be completed promptly and accurately, utilizing electronic or tablet-based systems to report in real time.

Depending on employment entity, additional duties may include performing BSRIA Chemistry and BSRIA Micro biological sampling.
