Warehouse Supervisor

Position Overview

This role demands a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to manage and streamline operational logistics at a physical warehouse location in Mississauga, Ontario. The position requires a minimum of two years and less than three years of relevant experience with a certificate or diploma in other trades. This is an on-site role within a fast-paced retail or wholesale distribution environment, emphasizing precision and efficiency under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement prioritization plans for warehouse tasks
• Organize and supervise day-to-day operational logistics
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive operational reports
• Maintain smooth functioning of computer systems and machinery, including scheduling maintenance and repairs
• Identify and resolve work-related issues, providing technical guidance and suggesting improvements to enhance productivity and product quality
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff
• Manage work assignments, overseeing and reviewing team workload
• Order and requisition necessary materials, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory controls

Required Knowledge and Expertise

• Proficiency with electronic schedulers and dispatch management software
• Experience with inventory control and purchasing software
• Strong skills in MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and Shopify platforms
• Specialization knowledge in e-commerce operations
