Waiting Staff

About the Role

The Crown at Martley in Worcester is seeking dedicated waiting and café staff to deliver outstanding customer service in a dynamic hospitality environment consisting of a restaurant, bar, café, and guest rooms. Our restaurant prides itself on exceptional quality local produce and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking accurate food and beverage orders from customers.
• Delivering orders promptly to tables ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Recommending starters and meal options including daily specials to guests.
• Collaborating closely with restaurant management to promptly resolve customer issues and ensure a delightful dining experience.
• Confirming orders with kitchen and bar staff when clarification is necessary.
• Helping set up tables and rearranging seating for larger groups.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent educational qualification.
• Preferred experience of two or more years as a server.
• Ability to remain on feet throughout the work period.
• Strong customer service aptitude and interpersonal skills.
• Clear and legible handwriting essential.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS software is advantageous.

Additional Information

Positions available include one front-of-house waiting staff role for 20+ hours per week and one front-of-house café staff role for 12+ hours per week. The workplace is located at The Crown, Martley, Worcester WR6 6PA.
