About Ecolab Institutional Division
Ecolab’s Institutional division partners with aged care facilities, hotels, hospitals, and commercial kitchens to create safer, cleaner, and more efficient environments. We are seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Territory Manager to support and expand our client base.
Role Overview
As a Territory Manager located preferably in Waikato, you will represent Ecolab Institutional covering the Central North Island and Taranaki regions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a diverse customer portfolio while identifying new business through collaboration with distributors and direct client relationships. The role combines customer engagement, technical service, problem-solving, and commercial development with regular travel including occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a defined territory within the Institutional sector.
- Establish strong relationships with aged care, hospitality, and commercial clients.
- Collaborate with distributors to uncover and convert new business prospects.
- Conduct site evaluations, suggest appropriate solutions, and provide product demonstrations.
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Ecolab dispensing and dosing systems using basic hand and power tools.
- Train customers on safe and effective use of products and systems.
- Meet sales targets and develop a pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date activity reports, forecasts, and CRM records.
- Ensure all work complies with Ecolab’s safety, quality, and service standards.
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in aged care, hospitality, healthcare or related industries is preferred.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently.
- Comfortable using basic tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and wrenches with a desire to learn.
- Valid driver’s license and availability for travel as required.
- Background in hygiene, facilities, chemicals, or services is advantageous but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
